Maxim Viktorov gave the unique violin by Jakob Stainer to the orchestra of Mikhailovsky Theatre.
Orchestra concertmaster of the Mikhailovsky Theatre Vladislav Gluz will play on a unique musical instrument - the violin by outstanding master Jakob Steiner, made around 1650, says the press-service of the theatre.
Transfer of the violin was held on Thursday in the office of law firm Legal Intelligence Group in Moscow, where Maxim Viktorov passed the instrument to the General Director of Mikhailovsky Theatre Vladimir Kehman.

Today the instrument will be presented to the St. Petersburg audience - it will happen in the Philharmonic Hall where in the evening takes place a gala concert, with which the Mikhailovsky Theatre will congratulate the St. Petersburg Philharmonic about its 90th anniversary.
Jakob Stainer was a prominent violin maker from Tyrol, the only non-Italian, who is put on a par with great masters of Cremona School - Amati, Stradivari and Guarneri. According to experts, the instruments by Stainer combine completeness and extensionality with softness and tenderness are inherent in flute. Johann Sebastian Bach had the violin of his work, Mozart also loved Stainer violins.

Maxim Viktorov, Chairman of the Investment Program Foundation, Managing Partner of Legal Intelligence Group, said he was happy to provide this tool to the Mikhailovsky Theatre, which has taken a worthy place in the same line with best musical theaters in Russia and Europe over the past few years. He is convinced that transmitted Stainer violin will be a remarkable harmonious addition of high artistic achievements demonstrated by the theatre.
