1st contest was held in 2003 and became "a landmark event in the cultural life not only in Russia, brought up to the capital the best violin-powers" (magazine "Itogi" and channel "Kultura"). According to the apt saying John Brunning, host of "Newsnight" British radio station "Classic FM": "Russia for many years gives the world best violinists in effort to continue this tradition further - to nurture the talents of tomorrow."
